| Robyn Boswell New Zealand  | I live in the spectacular far north of New Zealand surrounded by the beautiful South Pacific Ocean. My family have lived here since the earliest days of settlement in New Zealand. I love to travel and have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel to many corners of our wonderful planet. However, my heart always draws me back to the South Pacific. I have chronicled my trips through scrapbooking and journal writing so my memories are always with me. |
In 1975, with my three best friends we embarked on our ‘Big OE’ (Overseas Experience) intending to spend a year or two in Europe and the UK. After a memorable sea voyage to England, we joined a camping tour of Europe where many adventures ensued, not the least coping with a bus that had a propensity to break down at inappropriate moments.
I told my 93 year old Dad about this story as I was writing it. He said “I never heard that story before”. Yes, we didn’t actually tell our family at home all of the details of part of our adventure!
