I’m Dolores, and I was born in Canada on a large wheat farm in southern Saskatchewan. When I was four, my parents relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia, and I decided to go with them. After attending college there and brief sojourns in London, England, Toronto and Winnipeg, I was moved to move to a city that tops them all in sunshine, Los Angeles. At the moment, my passport is dusty but I have traveled extensively —often on my own—in Europe and more recently throughout Southeast Asia, Indonesia, and India. My story Snake in the Grass is based on the facts presented in the newspaper a few days after the tragedy. Several days later the reporter corrected “the facts” and added some new details.
