Karen Telling
Karen and her husband Nick left the U.K. in 2003 to move to Carvoeiro in Portugal’s Algarve. They had already spent many happy holidays there and planned to make it their permanent home, for better or worse. Karen’s health became an issue and she eventually had life changing surgery in a Lisbon hospital. They are still in Portugal, still rescuing waifs and strays and still living every day in Paradise.
