Today sees Rita and Fred leaving Pahalgam and getting the bus back to Srinigar with a companion from the lodge, Safi. They head back to the Wild Rose, where they will be spending three nights before starting their journey back to Europe. Rita had been in quite a good mood but returning to the houseboat depresses her again.
"It was very cloudy when we arrived after the sunshine which we’d been treated to in Pahalgam this morning. Back on the boat I got chatting to Sharon and Kath who are still around. It was like seeing old friends again and we all had a good afternoon and evening together."
