The last morning in Darjeeling is a misty and rainy one. Breakfast is delayed because there is no electricity and Fred has a refreshing cold shower because of the lack of hot water. Everyone starts to get their packing done before having a late breakfast. In a last minute rush Gayle, Irene and Fred meet their bus coming up the road and say their hurried goodbyes to Phil and Dave.
" We left Darjeeling eventually at just before 1-00 p.m. and made a stop for ‘ten minutes’ at 2-30 p.m. when we almost missed the bus again. The conductor came looking for us as they’d driven about 200 metres down the road before realising we weren’t there. Apart from that it was a pretty good journey."
