After breakfast at the 'Rum Doodle' restaurant, Fred collects his ticket for the bus journey this evening. He spends the day getting himself organised before saying his goodbyes to Kim & Geoff, who he expects to see again in Darjeeling.
"The road out of Kathmandu was as always very rough as it is being surfaced (without any foreign aid) by the Nepalese and could take years to complete. We were rewarded on the other side as we descended by the most beautiful sunset."
