After a good night's sleep, Fred starts making plans to head for Darjeeling. The others are intending to go to Bhaktapur for the day. He finds his way out to the Indian Embassy and applies for a permit before finding that he does not have enough photos for the application. At this point he starts to think he should have stayed in bed.
"I found my way to the embassy, signed my name in a book, and entered the grandiose gardens of the place which reflected a distinct British taste. Located the visa & permit section but was not able to make the application as you needed 3 photos and I only had one, which I had thought would be sufficient."
