34 years ago I was getting prepared for the most exciting adventure of my life, a trip to Asia that turned out very differently to the way that I had anticipated.
As some of you will know, Fred’s Diary 1981 recounts what happened during the time that I was in Asia. To celebrate my trip from all those years ago I will be publishing the diary on this blog from Thursday 19th February onwards.
This will give readers a chance to follow the trip one day at a time, absolutely free.
In addition I am working on a ‘lite’ version of the diary, so any feedback from fellow-readers and fellow-authors would be very welcome.
Travel Story Competition
The rules are simple:
1/. Your story should be between 500 and 1000 words in length
2/. Please add a title and a link that you would like to promote
3/. Send a copy of your memorable travel story (in Word format) to [email protected]
Selected entries will be featured on the ‘Travel Stories’ page.
At the end of each month (March through to July 2015) Fred will choose the best story from that month and the winning author will receive a £20/$30 Amazon gift card as well as an e-copy of Fred’s Diary 1981.
The competition will close on July 31st 2015 and an overall winner will be announced on August 10th 2015. They will receive a £100/$150 Amazon gift card along with a signed copy of the paperback version of the diary.
