Ronald Mackay fell in love with the Iberian Peninsula when he was 17. Spain was a different world, back in 1959, as it was beginning to be readmitted into Europe after the Spanish Civil War and then the Second World War.
Ronald includes more memories of Spain and other countries where he has lived in his recent collection, “Windows On My Worlds”.
He has also written about 1960’s life in the Canary Islands in “Fortunate Isle, a Memoir of Tenerife” and in Romania and Bulgaria in “The Kilt Behind the Curtain”.
