Roger Knight

Since retiring I have begun writing short stories, prose/ poetry and the odd essay. Some of these have appeared in various anthologies and magazines as well as the publication of a poetry collection, ' Poems of Passage. '

I would describe myself as an apprentice writer and enjoy shaping and recalling my story through the medium of words in their best possible order.

A thoughtful piece, Roger. Perhaps hope is easier to embrace if we see the present not in inglorious isolation, but from the perspective of all the past. Mankind has had occasions to question hope. Time, ingenuity, politics, science, luck and other factors have changed these occasions -- as they are likely to change ours. "Noli deponere spem".
